Evoking the old while heralding the new, the Forum Globe appears altogether timeless. The striking, all-metal base reprises the column of ancient times in a form that reflects modern design. Standing nearly four feet tall on its solid, tri-columnar foundation, this handsome model elicits a commanding presence.
The tubular and circular shapes in the globe's base harmonize with the superbly crafted, 16" raised-relief sphere, which though antique in appearance, is up-to-date and highly detailed. Encircling the 16" diameter sphere is a 360 degree , die-cast, gimbaled-mounted meridian with latitudinal calibrations.
Fashioned by designer Tom Torrens, the Forum Globe breaks the mold and forges a unique new direction in globe design.
