Up for sale here is a beautiful artisan gemstone globe bookend. Estate sale find. No markings, but upon research it was created by renowned artisan globe-maker Alexander Kalifano. North American side only, missing Europe/Asia side. Weighs several pounds. Six inches tall. Latitude and longitude lines are 24k gold. Crafted with "up to 25 precious gemstones." Canada is mother of pearl. A few light scuffs but displays fantastically. It's a shame that it's missing the other half, but it remains a gorgeous piece of art regardless. Somebody give it a good home.
